LearnDash Automations

Send an Email When a LearnDash Lesson Is Completed

Course drop-off often happens between lessons rather than at the start, so a short nudge after a key lesson can keep students moving. Zapify does this with the A user completes a lesson trigger and the Send an email action. LearnDash is a Zapify PRO integration.

What this automation does

The automation is one trigger plus one action:

  • Trigger: A user completes a lesson (LEARNDASH_LESSON_COMPLETED, LearnDash)
  • Action: Send an email (WP_SEND_EMAIL, WordPress)

When a student completes the lesson you choose, Zapify fills the email's tokens and sends it — useful for pointing them to what comes next, or checking in after a lesson that historically causes drop-off.

Before you start

  • LearnDash must be installed and active.
  • Zapify PRO must be active, since LearnDash is a PRO integration.
  • The lesson (and its course) you want to watch must already exist.

PRO feature

LearnDash (learndash) is a Zapify PRO integration. Every LearnDash trigger and action requires an active PRO licence.

How to test it

Conclusion

With the A user completes a lesson trigger and the Send an email action, Zapify keeps students moving through a course one lesson at a time. Next, celebrate the finish line with an email when a LearnDash course is completed, or react to quiz results with an email when a LearnDash quiz is completed.

FAQs

Can I watch every lesson in a course, not just one?

Yes. Leave the Lesson field on Any lesson and set the Course field to the course you want, and the automation fires after each lesson within it.

Is this feature free?

No. LearnDash is a Zapify PRO integration; the trigger and action both require an active PRO licence.

Does this work for topics too?

Lessons and topics are separate triggers in Zapify — see an email when a LearnDash topic is completed for the topic-level version.

Do I need to write any code?

No. Everything is configured in the Zapify visual builder.
