LifterLMS Automations

Send an Email When a Student Completes a LifterLMS Lesson

You want to send a bonus resource, or check in with a student, the moment they finish a specific lesson — not the whole course. Zapify does this with the A user completes a lesson trigger and the Send an email action. LifterLMS is a Zapify PRO integration.

What this automation does

The automation is one trigger plus one action:

  • Trigger: A user completes a lesson (LIFTERLMS_LESSON_COMPLETED)
  • Action: Send an email (WP_SEND_EMAIL)

When a student completes the lesson you choose, Zapify fills the email's tokens with details about that lesson and sends it.

Zapify listens on LifterLMS' lifterlms_lesson_completed signal, which fires as soon as LifterLMS marks the individual lesson complete — independently of whether the rest of the course has been finished.

Before you start

  • LifterLMS must be installed and active.
  • Zapify PRO must be active, since LifterLMS is a PRO integration.
  • The lesson you want to watch must already exist inside a course.

LifterLMS (lifterlms) is a Zapify PRO integration. Every LifterLMS trigger and action requires an active PRO licence.

Conclusion

With the A user completes a lesson trigger and the Send an email action, Zapify can add mid-course touchpoints without a separate drip plugin. Next, congratulate students at the end of the course with an email when a LifterLMS course is completed, or welcome them at the start with an email when a user is enrolled on a course.

FAQs

Can I choose which lesson triggers this automation?

Yes. Select a specific lesson in the trigger's Lesson field, or leave it on Any lesson.

Is this feature free?

No. LifterLMS is a Zapify PRO integration; the trigger and action both require an active PRO licence.

Can this replace a drip-content plugin?

It covers simple cases, such as sending a resource after a specific lesson, but it does not release new lessons on a schedule the way a dedicated drip plugin does.

Can I include lesson details in the email?

Yes, using the Lesson title and Lesson URL tokens.

Do I need to write any code?

No. Everything is configured in the Zapify visual builder.
