Favorite Links — Star Your Top Short Links

Favorite Links lets you star the short links you use most and filter the list down to just those links, so your key campaign, affiliate, or landing-page URLs are always one click away. Favorites are stored per user and are available in URL Shortify PRO.

PRO feature

Favorite Links is available in URL Shortify PRO, not in the free version.

Favorite Links is a URL Shortify PRO feature that marks individual short links as favorites with a star, so you can pull your most-used links to the top and filter the Links list to show only them. Each WordPress user keeps their own set of favorites — starring a link affects only your view, not other users'.

To favorite a single link, click the empty star icon (☆) to the left of the link title in the Links list. The star turns filled (★) immediately, confirming the link has been added.

  1. Go to URL Shortify → Links.
  2. Find the link you want to favorite.
  3. Click the ☆ (empty star) icon before the link title.
  4. The star changes to ★ (filled star) — the link is now favorited.

The tooltip changes from "Add to Favorites" to "Remove from Favorites" once the link is starred.

Favorite Links

To remove a link from your favorites, click the filled star icon (★) next to the link title. The star reverts to an empty star (☆).

  1. Go to URL Shortify → Links.
  2. Find the favorited link (it shows a ★ filled star).
  3. Click the ★ (filled star) icon.
  4. The star changes to ☆ (empty star) — the link is removed from your favorites.

Removing a link from favorites does not delete the link itself; it only removes the favorite bookmark.

Filter Favorite Links

Filter option Description
All Links Shows all links (no filter applied)
Favorite: Yes Shows only links you have marked as favorites
Favorite: No Shows only links not in your favorites

How favorites are stored

Favorites are stored per user — each WordPress user has their own set, so User A's favorites never appear in User B's view. When a link is deleted, its favorite entries are removed automatically for all users, so no orphaned favorites remain.

Conclusion

Favorite Links (PRO) keeps your most-used short links one click away by starring them and filtering the list to just your favorites, per user. To organize links for the whole team rather than per user, see Link Groups and Link Tags.

FAQs

No. Favorite Links is a URL Shortify PRO feature and is not included in the free version. Once PRO is active, a star icon appears in the Links list and a Favorite filter and bulk actions become available so you can mark and find your most-used links quickly.

Are favorites shared across all users?

No. Favorites are stored per user, so each WordPress user maintains their own set. If one user stars a link, other users will not see it as favorited in their view. To organize links for everyone, use Link Groups or Link Tags instead, which apply site-wide.

No. Unstarring a link only removes the favorite bookmark for your account; the short link itself, its slug, and its click history are untouched. The link continues to redirect and appears in the Links list as normal — it simply no longer shows in your Favorite: Yes filter.

Yes. Select the links with their checkboxes, open the Bulk Actions dropdown, and under Favorite Links Actions choose Add To Favorite, then click Apply. A matching Remove From Favorite bulk action removes several favorites at once. Filter by Favorite: Yes first to select only favorited links.
