WordPress Dashboard Widgets

URL Shortify adds widgets to your main WordPress dashboard so you can create a short link, or check which links are performing, without opening the plugin.

Quick Add

The URL Shortify Quick Add widget creates a short link from the dashboard in one step.

  1. Go to Dashboard in WordPress.
  2. Find the URL Shortify Quick Add widget.
  3. Paste the destination URL.
  4. Click the button to generate the link.

The short link appears immediately with a copy button, ready to paste wherever you need it. A slug is generated automatically — to choose your own, or set redirect types, groups, tags or UTM parameters, create the link from URL Shortify → Links instead.

The Popular Links widget lists your most-clicked short links, so the dashboard tells you at a glance what's working.

PRO Feature

The Popular Links widget is available in URL Shortify PRO. Quick Add is available in the free version.

Show or hide the widgets

Both are ordinary WordPress dashboard widgets, so they follow the usual rules:

  • Open Screen Options at the top right of the dashboard and untick a widget to hide it.
  • Drag a widget by its title bar to reorder it.
  • Each user's choices apply only to their own dashboard.
