What is bulk generate?
Bulk generate is a WordPress bulk action that URL Shortify PRO adds to the standard post-list screens. You tick the items you want, choose Generate Short Link from the Bulk Actions menu, and URL Shortify creates one short link per selected item. It works on Posts, Pages and any registered custom post type, which makes it the fastest way to add links to existing content in bulk — the counterpart to auto-create, which only fires on new publishes.
How to bulk generate short links
1. Open the post list
In the WordPress admin, go to Posts, Pages, or any Custom Post Type list screen that holds the content you want short links for.
2. Select the items
Tick the checkbox beside each item that needs a short link. To include everything on the current page, use the select-all checkbox in the column header.
3. Choose the bulk action
Open the Bulk Actions dropdown above (or below) the list and select Generate Short Link.
4. Apply
Click Apply next to the dropdown. URL Shortify processes the selection and shows a confirmation notice — for example, "Short links generated for 12 posts successfully!"
5. Review the generated links
Enable the Short Link column via Screen Options (top-right of the list screen) if it isn't already visible, then check the newly created short links in that column. You can also see every link under URL Shortify → Links.
