Setup URL Shortify Email Digest
Receive an automated email summary of your short link performance — new links created, total clicks, top-performing links, top locations, and top devices — delivered on a schedule you control.
How It Works
The plugin uses Action Scheduler to check every 4 hours whether it's time to send a digest. When the scheduled day and time are reached, it generates the report for the configured period and emails it to all configured recipients.
Setup Instructions
Enable Email Digest
- Go to URL Shortify → Settings → Reports tab.
- Scroll to the Email Digest section.
- Toggle Enable Email Digest to On.
Choose a Frequency
Select how often you want to receive the digest:

|---|---|
| Daily | Covers the last complete day (Monday–Sunday) |
| Weekly | Covers the last complete week (Monday–Sunday) |
| Monthly | Covers the previous calendar month |
Set the Day and Time
- Day: Choose the day of the week (for weekly) or day of the month (for monthly) when the email will be sent.
- Monthly day is capped at the 28th to avoid issues with shorter months.
- Send Time: Select the hour and minute from the dropdown (30-minute increments, 00:00–23:30). Times use your site's timezone.
Configure Recipients
In the Recipients field, enter one email address per line.

Leave this field empty to automatically send to the WordPress site admin email address.
Save Settings
Click Save Settings. The scheduler will automatically send the digest on the next occurrence of your configured day and time.
Preview the Email
Before waiting for the first scheduled send, preview how the email will look:
- Click the Preview Email button in the Email Digest settings section.
- A popup window opens showing the email rendered with the last 7 days of data.
- The subject line will include a
[Preview]badge.
Send a Test Email
To confirm delivery to a specific address:
- Enter an email address in the Send Test field (leave blank to use the admin email).
- Click Send Test.
- A success or error message appears below the button.
- Check your inbox — the test email uses the last 7 days of data.
