Set Up the URL Shortify Email Digest
The Email Digest sends an automated email summary of your short link performance — new links created, total clicks, top-performing links, top locations, and top devices — on a schedule you control. It is available in the free version of URL Shortify: enable it under URL Shortify → Settings → Reports, pick a frequency, and add recipients.
How it works
URL Shortify uses Action Scheduler to check every 4 hours whether it is time to send a digest. When the configured day and time are reached, it builds the report for the chosen period and emails it to every recipient. The digest is off by default, so you set it up once and it runs on its own after that.
Enable the Email Digest
- Go to URL Shortify → Settings → Reports.
- Scroll to the Email Digest section.
- Toggle Enable Email Digest to On (it is off by default).
Choose a frequency
Select how often the digest is sent. The default is Weekly.

Set the day and time
- Day — Choose the day of the week (for weekly) or day of the month (for monthly) to send the digest. The monthly day is capped at the 28th so it still fires in shorter months. The Day field is not used for daily frequency.
- Send Time — Pick the hour and minute to send. The default is 14:00, and times use your site's timezone.
Configure recipients
In the Recipients field, enter one email address per line:

Leave the field blank to send the digest to the WordPress site admin email address.
Save settings
Click Save Settings. The scheduler sends the digest on the next occurrence of your configured day and time.
Preview the email
Before waiting for the first scheduled send, preview how the email looks:
- Click Preview Email in the Email Digest section.
- A popup opens showing the email rendered with the last 7 days of data.
- The subject line includes a
[Preview]badge.
Send a test email
To confirm delivery to a specific address:
- Enter an address in the Send Test field (leave blank to use the admin email).
- Click Send Test.
- A success or error message appears below the button.
- Check your inbox — the test email uses the last 7 days of data.

How often can the Email Digest be sent?

Who receives the Email Digest?
Everyone listed in the Recipients field, entered one email address per line. If you leave the Recipients field blank, URL Shortify sends the digest to the WordPress site admin email address instead. Update the list anytime and click Save Settings for the change to take effect on the next send.
Why hasn't my Email Digest arrived yet?
URL Shortify checks every 4 hours whether it is time to send, so a digest sends at or shortly after your configured day and time, not instantly. Confirm the digest is enabled, the day and time have passed, and recipients are set. Use Send Test to verify delivery, and check spam if the test does not arrive.
Can I preview the digest before it sends?
Yes. Click Preview Email in the Email Digest section to open a popup showing the email rendered with the last 7 days of data and a [Preview] badge in the subject. To confirm real delivery to an inbox, use the Send Test field and button, which also uses the last 7 days of data.
