How Can I Email A Login Link When Someone Submits A Form?

This is a Pro feature. Magic Link works with WPForms, Gravity Forms, and Fluent Forms. Choose which forms should send a login link, and whenever one of them is submitted, the address in the form is emailed a magic link.

You pick the forms in Magic Link -> Settings -> Integrations -> Form Builders. WPForms and Gravity Forms also have a toggle inside the form builder itself.

Why This Helps

A form is usually the moment someone tells you who they are. It is the natural place to hand them a way in.

"Request access" without manual work. Someone fills in a form asking for access to a resource, a portal, or a members' area — and receives a working login link straight away instead of waiting for you to notice.
Event and webinar sign-ups. Attendees register, then get a link that puts them straight into the content on the day.
Return a customer to their account. A support or enquiry form can quietly hand someone a way back in, which is often the real reason they were writing.
Fewer "I can't log in" emails. The form they were already filling in becomes the fix.

The alternative is doing it by hand: reading the entry, finding the user, generating a link, pasting it into an email. That works for two people a week and fails completely at any real volume.

Important: The Person Needs An Account

A magic link signs somebody in to an existing account. If the submitted email address does not belong to a user on your site, no link is sent.

This is deliberate — a form that created accounts for any address typed into it would be an open door. If you want people to get accounts automatically, look at Trusted domains, which does that for addresses on domains you approve.

How To Choose Which Forms Send Links

Go to Magic Link -> Settings -> Integrations.
Find the Form Builders section. Only the builders you actually have installed appear here.
Tick each form that should send a login link.
Save changes.

Nothing is enabled by default. A form only sends links once you tick it, so installing Pro never changes what your existing forms do.

Turning It On Inside The Form Builder

If you would rather set this where you build the form:

WPForms — open the form, go to Settings -> General, and tick Send a Magic Link.

Gravity Forms — open the form, go to Settings, find the Magic Link section, and switch on Send a Magic Link.

Fluent Forms — use the central list under Magic Link -> Settings -> Integrations. Fluent Forms builds its settings screens in a way that does not allow other plugins to add a toggle, so the Magic Link screen is the place to do it.

Either method works, and a form switched on in one place shows as enabled in the other.

Which Email Address Is Used

Magic Link looks for an email field in the submission and uses the first one it finds. If the form has no dedicated email field, it falls back to any value that looks like an email address.

If a form collects more than one address — say a personal and a work address — the first email field wins. Put the address you want people signed in with first.

How To Test It

Make sure the email address you are testing with belongs to a real user on your site.
Tick the form under Magic Link -> Settings -> Integrations, or in the builder.
Submit the form normally from the front end.
Check the inbox for the login email.
Open the link in a private or incognito window — in your normal browser you are already logged in, so any link looks like it works.

If No Email Arrives

Check the address has an account. This is the most common cause by far. No account means no link, by design.
Check the form is ticked. Nothing is enabled by default.
Check the form has an email field. Without one, there is nothing to send to.
Check the Audit Log. Magic Link -> Audit Log shows whether a link was generated and sent. If there is no entry, the form did not trigger; if there is, the problem is email delivery.
Check your site sends email at all. Magic Link -> Health verifies this.
