Append a Magic Link to Outgoing WordPress Emails
Want recipients to jump straight into their account from any email your site sends? Magic Link PRO's Outgoing Emails feature automatically appends a fresh, secure login link to your outgoing WordPress emails, so people click through and are signed in with no password. You turn it on under Magic Link → Settings → General, and it is a PRO feature.

Outgoing Emails and the {magic-link} / {magic_link} merge tags require Magic Link PRO. The free version does not append login links to outgoing WordPress emails.
Outgoing Emails is the PRO setting that hooks into WordPress email delivery and adds a one-click login link to messages your site already sends.
How It Works
- When WordPress sends an email, Magic Link PRO generates a fresh Magic Link for the recipient.
- The link is appended to the email using your configured Link Text, or placed wherever you add a
{magic-link}merge tag in your content. - The recipient clicks the link and is signed in — no username or password required.
Each generated link follows your Token Lifespan and Token Validity settings, so it expires like any other Magic Link. See Magic Link expiry settings.
How to Enable Outgoing Emails (PRO)
- Go to Magic Link → Settings → General in the WordPress admin.
- Find the Outgoing Emails section.
- Turn on the Enable switch. It is off by default.
- Set Link Text — the clickable text shown for the appended link. The default is "Log in to your account instantly".
- Click Save Changes.
Place the Link Exactly Where You Want It
