Email Digest

The Email Digest sends a periodic summary of site activity to your inbox so you don't have to log in to know what's happening.

Enable the Digest

  1. Go to Logify > Settings > Email Digest.
  2. Turn on Enable Email Digest.
  3. Choose a Frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
  4. Pick a Send On day (only applies to weekly and monthly).
  5. Choose a Send Time (30-minute increments, in your site's timezone).
  6. Add Recipients — one email per line. Leave blank to use the WordPress admin email.
  7. Save settings.

A status panel on the same screen shows the digest's current state, the configured frequency, when it was last sent, and your site timezone. Use Preview Email to open a sample in a new tab, or Send Test to email a sample to any address.

What's Inside the Digest

The standard digest includes:

  • Website Overview — site name and URL, total log entries, and log database size.
  • Period Activity — total events recorded during the period.
  • Security Activity — failed logins, successful logins, new users, password changes.
  • Business Activity — posts created and updated, media uploads, plugin events, theme events.
  • Advanced Insights — see PRO section below, or an upsell banner for free users.
  • News / Tips — a rotating curated card with product tips and sister-plugin recommendations.
  • Footer — Logify version and link to manage settings.

Stat cards use pastel backgrounds with deep coloured numbers so the digest reads well in light and dark email clients. On mobile, cards stack two-per-row.

Advanced Insights (PRO)

PRO subscribers see additional analytics in the Advanced Insights section:

  • Critical+ Events — count of events at severity 600 or higher.
  • High Severity — count of events at severity 500–599.
  • Brute-Force Bursts — number of aggregated brute-force events.
  • Most Active User — user display name + count for the period.
  • Top IP Address — IP + event count for the period.
  • Top Event Type — the most common event category for the period.

Free users see a subtle upsell banner in the same spot.

Notes

  • The digest uses the cron schedule you select; make sure WP-Cron is firing on your site (or set up a real cron job pointing to wp-cron.php).
  • Recipients are validated as proper email addresses; invalid entries are silently skipped.
  • Times are scheduled in your site's timezone but stored in GMT internally.
