Which Social Networks Does Social Linkz Support?

Wondering which social networks Social Linkz can add to your site? The free version ships with Facebook and X (Twitter) share buttons, and Social Linkz PRO adds 60+ networks — including WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Telegram, and follow buttons for Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. This page explains the difference between share and follow buttons, lists what's supported, and shows how to choose and reorder networks.

Share buttons vs follow buttons

Social Linkz networks come in two roles, and some networks can do both:

  • Share buttons let a visitor post your page to a network — for example, sharing an article on Facebook or X. Share buttons open the network's share dialog pre-filled with your page URL and title.
  • Follow buttons link visitors to your profile on a network so they can follow you — for example, your Instagram or YouTube channel. Follow buttons don't share the current page; they point to an account you set up.

A network can be a share button, a follow button, or both. Facebook and X, for example, work as both share and follow buttons, while Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are follow-only (there's no meaningful "share this page to Instagram" action).

Networks included in the free version

The shipped free build of Social Linkz includes two share networks:

Network Share Follow
Facebook Yes Yes
X (Twitter) Yes Yes

PRO feature

Most networks require Social Linkz PRO. The free build ships with Facebook and X (Twitter) share buttons only — every other network below is part of PRO.

Networks available in PRO

Social Linkz PRO unlocks 60+ networks. A selection:

Share examples: WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Telegram, Email, Copy link, Pocket, Tumblr, Threads, Mastodon, Messenger, Line, VK, Xing, Buffer, Hacker News, Flipboard, Print, SMS, Subscribe, and Yummly.

Follow examples: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, GitHub, Spotify, Dribbble, Behance, and RSS.

Special network behaviors

A few networks do something other than open a share dialog:

  • Copy — copies the current page URL to the visitor's clipboard so they can paste it anywhere.
  • Print — opens the browser's print dialog for the current page.

How to choose and reorder networks

You pick which networks appear and set their order from the settings screen:

  1. Go to WordPress admin → Social Linkz → Settings → Inline Content.
  2. Find the Social Networks field.
  3. Add the networks you want from the available list.
  4. Drag the entries in the sortable list to set the order buttons appear in on your site.
  5. Save your changes.

For follow buttons, you also need to tell Social Linkz which accounts to link to. See setting up handles, Messenger, and Subscribe to connect your profiles.

Conclusion

Social Linkz supports Facebook and X (Twitter) in the free version and 60+ share and follow networks in PRO. Add and drag-reorder networks under Settings → Inline Content → Social Networks, and remember that share buttons post your page while follow buttons link to your profiles. Next, learn how to add share buttons to your posts and how to set up your social accounts for follow buttons. To unlock every network, see Social Linkz PRO.
