How to Style and Brand Your Share Buttons

Want your social share buttons to match your site instead of looking bolted on? Social Linkz gives you a full Design panel to control the style, shape, size, layout, spacing, and colors of your share buttons — so they match your branding in seconds. The free version ships with a clean Solid style, Squared shape, and Auto Width layout, and PRO unlocks extra styles, column layouts, rounded/circular shapes, and text labels.

You style your buttons in WordPress admin → Social Linkz → Settings → Inline Content → Design. Every design option below lives on that one screen.

Where the design options live

  1. Go to WordPress admin → Social Linkz → Settings.
  2. Open the Inline Content tab.
  3. Scroll to the Design section.
  4. Adjust the options below, then save. Your share buttons update everywhere they appear.

Set the button style

The Button Style controls the overall look of your buttons. The free version uses the Solid style — a filled button with the network icon. Choose a color that fits your brand under Button Color and Icon Color.

PRO feature

The Inverse, Bordered Label, Bordered Button, Minimal Label, and Minimal styles require Social Linkz PRO. The free build ships with the Solid style only.

Choose a layout and alignment

By default the free version uses the Auto Width layout, where buttons size to their content and wrap naturally. Use Button Alignment to place the row Left, Right, or Center, and Button Size to pick Small, Medium, or Large buttons.

PRO feature

Fixed column layouts (1 to 6 columns) require Social Linkz PRO. The free build uses the Auto Width layout.

Pick a button shape

The Button Shape sets the corner style. The free version uses Squared buttons.

PRO feature

Rounded and Circular button shapes require Social Linkz PRO. The free build uses the Squared shape.

Match your brand colors

Four color options let you match your site's palette exactly:

  • Button Color — the button background.
  • Button Hover Color — the background when a visitor hovers.
  • Icon Color — the network icon color.
  • Icon Hover Color — the icon color on hover.

Turn on Inverse On Hover to automatically swap the button and icon colors when a visitor hovers, for a quick two-tone effect without setting hover colors by hand. Use Button Margin (for example 10px) to control the spacing between buttons.

Show text labels next to icons (PRO)

By default, buttons show just the network icon. PRO adds two label options in the same Design section:

  • Show Labels — display the network name (for example "Facebook") next to each icon.
  • Hide Labels On Mobile — keep labels on desktop but collapse to icons only on small screens to save space.

PRO feature

Show Labels and Hide Labels On Mobile require Social Linkz PRO. See how to show or hide buttons by device for the related mobile controls.

Conclusion

With the Design section you can brand your share buttons to match your site in seconds — set the style, shape, size, layout, spacing, and colors on one screen. Free covers the Solid style, Squared shape, and Auto Width layout, while PRO adds extra styles, column layouts, rounded shapes, and text labels.
